Self-adhering flowable composite itself has glycerophosphate dimethacrylate monomer (GPDM) that serves as etching and bonding to the tooth structure so that the addition of acid etching is no longer needed on the use of this flowable composite resin.
Given the conflicting reports regarding the molecular target of biguanides in mitochondria, in this study, we addressed the direct impact of biguanides metformin and phenformin on NDH, SDH, and mGPDH, mitochondrial glycerophosphate dehydrogenases, which feed electrons into respiratory chain and were proposed to be a target of these drugs.
These include glycerophosphates, most of which were probably derived from alkaline hydrolysis of phospholipids during extraction with NaOH-EDTA, mononucleotides, most of which are probably derived from alkaline hydrolysis of RNA during extraction, and inositol hexakisphosphates (both the myo- and scyllo- isomers).
