During laparotomy, we discovered 2 perforations on the ileum and general peritonitis
In most such cases, laparotomy or laparoscopic laparotomy is performed on suspicion of a perforation of the gastrointestinal tract or appendix or on suspicion of general peritonitis
with unknown origin.
It is clinically characterized by general peritonitis
and frequently occurs at the advanced stage of the disease .
Patients with general peritonitis
due to trauma and idiopathic intra-abdominal abscesses were excluded from the study.
It is important to be aware that impressive radiological findings without the signs of general peritonitis
should not preclude a conservative approach to management.
