A position for a nonfunctional hand to prevent contractures and deformity. Position includes 20-30 degrees of wrist extension, 45 degrees of metacarpal joint flexion, 30 degrees of proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joint flexion, and 20 degrees of distal interphalangeal joint (DIP) flexion.
