frog licking

frog licking

The licking of certain toads—in particular Bufo alvarius (Colorado River toad or Sonoran Desert toad)—to obtain skin secretions that contain the psychoactive toxins 5-MeO-DMT and bufotenin, both of which are hallucinogenic tryptamines. The secretions can be harvested by stroking the toad under its chin.
