(ep'i-zōt)(Chenopodium ambrosioides) An herb of the U.S. Southwest with some similarity to cilantro (coriander); used in the nineteenth century as a digestive; of possible value as an antiflatulent. Clinical studies are ongoing. The safety of this agent has not been confirmed.
