The Pb(II) adsorbed on D113 resin can be eluted by using 0.5 mol/L HCl solution as an
eluant indicating that the resin can be regenerated and reused.
The crude product was purified by flash chromatography, using hexane as
eluant, to give 6 as a dark green oil (370 mg; yield 70%).[sup.1]H-NMR data are fully consistent with data reported in the literature [27].
Endonuclease activity was determined by incubating 1 [mu]g plasmid (pVAXl, Invitrogen) with 19 [mu]1 of
eluant fractions from the protein purification columns (DEAE-52 or Sephadex G-75) at 37 [degrees]C for 30 min.
In the determination of resin exchangeable P, soil solutions were shaken with the resin strip for 16 h, after which the strips were removed and P was extracted from the strip using a 0.1 M NaCl:0.1 M HCl
eluant with 2 h of shaking.
The fraction containing [alpha]2M eluted from Sephadex G-100 column was further fractionated on a DEAE52-cellulose (DE32) (Whatman, 40-120 [micro]m beads) column, using Tris-HCl buffer containing: 0.03M-0.2M NaCl as
eluant gradient.
The thin layer chromatography technique with (50% water, 50% ethanol)
eluant shows the presence of only one product and characteristic tests of odor and melting point.
The new LC Taste[TM] procedure that Symrise developed is based on the principle of high-temperature LC with water as an
eluant. The mobile phase used here--which poses no risk to human health--may contain other components from the group of physiologically tolerable alcohols, salts, acids, buffers, oils or fats.
Recovery may be enhanced by adding 0.01 percent Tween (a surfactant) to the
eluant.
Eluant peaks are detected by UV absorption at 262 nm.
For the determination of molecular weights, the polymer DAPE 6 derived from CPE 3 and PZ 9 were analyzed using an aqueous solution of 0.1 N NaNO3 as the
eluant. Refractive Index and viscometer detectors were used to determine molar mass of the polymers.
The
eluant was manually injected into the HPLC system, via a 20 [micro]L sample loop.
