DUSP2A gene on chromosome 2q11 that encodes dual-specificity phosphatase 2, a protein which regulates mitogenic signal transduction by dephosphorylating Thr and Tyr residues on MAP kinases ERK1/MAPK3 and ERK2/MAPK1. It is expressed in haematopoietic tissues.
