DOK2(redirected from docking protein 2)
DOK2A gene on chromosome 8p21.3 that encodes an enzymatically inert adaptor/scaffolding protein, which provides the docking platform for assembling multimolecular signalling complexes. DOK2 may modulate IL-4-, IL-2- and IL-3-induced cell proliferation, and may modulate Bcr-Abl signalling, and it attenuates EGF-stimulated MAP kinase activation. It is highly expressed in peripheral white cells, lymph nodes and the spleen.
