Variations in origin(s) and insertion(s) of this muscle have resulted in an assortment of names, including peroneus accessories muscle, peroneocalcaneus externum muscle, peroneocuboideus muscle, peroneocalcaneocuboideus muscle, peroneus digiti minimi muscle and others (Sookur et al.; Clarkson et al.; Albay & Candan).
For the ulnar nerve, stimulation is given at the wrist (Medial/lateral to flexor carpi ulnaris) and at the elbow (Ulnar groove) and recording electrode is kept close to the motor point of the abductor digiti minimi (ADM).
LF-RNS (3 Hz) was performed in trapezius, deltoid, abductor digiti minimi (ADM), quadriceps femoris, and tibialis anterior.
Motor and sensory conduction studies of the ulnar, median, radial and dorsal ulnar cutaneous (DUC) nerves of right hand and electromyography (EMG) of the abductor digiti minimi (ADM), flexor carpi ulnaris (FCU), flexor digitorum profundus (FDP), abductor pollicis brevis (APB), extensor indicis proprius (EIP), cervical 8 (C8) and thoracal 1 ([T.sub.1]) paraspinal muscles were performed to exclude lower brachial plexopathy or C8-T1 radiculopathy.
We measured the amplitudes and latencies of median and ulnar motor nerve responses by supramaximal stimulation technique over abductor pollicis brevis and abductor digiti minimi muscles.
With an incision over the volar margin and through the adipose plane, dissection was performed above the extensor digiti minimi muscle, and perforators were exposed [Figure 2].
Active electrode was placed over the midportion of the abductor digiti minimi, and the reference electrode was placed over the proximal phalanx of the little finger.
The hook serves as a site of attachment of several structures including the flexor digiti minimi, opponens digiti minimi, pisiohamate ligaments, and distal portion of the transverse carpal ligament.

Six muscles were examined on both sides: abductor pollicis brevis, abductor digiti minimi, biceps brachii, tibialis anterior, extensor digitorum brevis, and abductor hallucis muscles after supramaximal distal stimulation of the median, ulnar, musculocutaneous, peroneal, and tibial nerves, respectively.
