breast thermography

A diagnostic modality based on infrared assessment of skin temperature, which is higher overlying cancers; it is also higher overlying inflammation, making it accurate at best and dangerous at worst. Breast thermography has fallen into disuse by mainstream medical practitioners due to high false-positive and false-negative rates, and diagnostic use of breast thermography borders on pseudoscience.
