diabetes resolution

Clinical improvement in a patient with diabetes mellitus, so that he no longer needs medication to maintain normal blood glucose levels. It can occur in patients who have sustained weight loss as a result of a change in body weight, e.g., after a continuing regimen of careful diet and exercise, or after bariatric surgery.
