deuterotoxin

An obsolete, nonspecific term for a toxin that reacts with antitoxin, which has less affinity for antitoxin than prototoxin and more affinity for antitoxin than tritoxin. Deuterotoxin, prototoxin and tritoxin do not have modern equivalents in the working medical parlance.
