a suppression of central vision in an eye due to poor image formation; for example, by a corneal scar, a cataract, or a droopy eyelid.
Synonym(s): deprivation amblyopia
Amblyopia resulting from nonuse of the eye. It is usually secondary to an organic problem such as cataract or ptosis.
