The immunoprofile of PMDM is the same as other epithelioid mesotheliomas; cells usually have cytoplasmic expression for cytokeratin AE1/AE3, cytokeratin 7, and cytokeratin 5/6.
Immunohistochemical stains performed on biopsy specimens denoted positive reactivity for Bcl-2, EMA, Cytokeratin 7, Cytokeratin 19 and CD99 (Figure-2).
The tumor cells were strongly positive for cytokeratin 7 (CK7), cytokeratin 5/6 (CK5/6), tumor protein 63 (p63), estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR) and were negative for cytokeratin 20 (CK20Figure 3).

Immunohistochemistry showed cytokeratin 5/6 (+) (c, 10x), P63 (+) (d, 10x), cytokeratin 7 (-), TTF-1 (-) and Ki67 (50%).
High-molecular weight cytokeratins, cytokeratin 7, cytokeratin 20, and GATA-3 have previously been used to diagnose bladder cancer [12].
The tumor showed diffuse positive immunostain for keratin and cytokeratin 7 (Figure 3) and patchy reactivity with vimentin.
The immunohistochemical stains performed were Neuron Specific Enolase (NSE) (Dako,1:400), Chromogranin A (Dako, 1:5000), CD56 (NovoCas- tra,1:50), Neurofilament (Dako,1:400), S-100 (Dako, 1:1000), Synaptophysin (Biogenex, 1:400), Vimentin (Vim 3B4 Dako, 1:100), CD 99 (mic-2 12E7 Dako, Pre-diluted), Cytokeratin (clone AE1/AE3 Dako 1:50), Epithelial Membrane Antigen (EMA) (E29, Dako, 1:50), Cytokeratin 7 (OV-TL 12/30, Dako, 1:100), CD117 (c-kit - Dako, 1:100), Desmin (D33, Dako, 1:150), Cytokeratin CAM 5.2 (Monoclonal Becton, Dickinson and Company, NJ, Pre-diluted).
The immunostain for cytokeratin 7 was positive in the majority of the tumour cells (Fig.
