crosstalk manipulation

crosstalk manipulation

A term of art referring to the proactive strategies adopted by microorganisms in which they instigate, subvert or disrupt the (normal) molecular signalling crosstalk between receptors of the innate immune system. This interference undermines host defences and contributes to microbial adaptive fitness and persistent infections.
