Medical practice A part of a physical exam, required for CPT-related documentation of a physician's evaluation and management services; CE includes recording of BP–sitting, standing, supine, pulse rate or regularity, respiration, temperature, weight, height, as well as evaluation of physical appearance vis-`a-vis development, nutrition, body habitus, deformities, attention to grooming. See Evaluation and management services.
