the mechanical device on an articulator that is intended to produce guidance in articulator movement, similar to those produced by the paths of the condyles in the temporomandibular joints.

That portion of a mechanical articulation device intended to direct movement of those portions of the device that simulate the condylar processes of the mandible along pathways similar to those occurring when the mandibular condyles move about the temporomandibular joints.
