comedo

 [kom´ĕ-do] (pl. comedo´nes) (L.)
a plug of keratin and sebum within the dilated orifice of a hair follicle frequently containing the bacteria Corynebacterium acnes, Staphylococcus albus, and Pityrosporum ovale; see also acne vulgaris.
