NEW health minister Dr Brian Gibbons yesterday officially opened the North Wales clinical school
SWANSEA University's Clinical School
is working with the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria, to develop global learning solutions in international health for student doctors.
``I hope the new North Wales Clinical School
and the recent NHS open week will go some way towards attracting more Welsh speakers into the service.
There he will be joined by Economic Development Minister Andrew Davies and Swansea vice-chancellor Professor Richard Davies, together with the head of the university's clinical school
, Dr Julian Hopkin, to announce the creation of the new facility on the university's campus.
``We also contribute to the training of doctors as part of the North Wales Clinical School
being set up, as well as training huge numbers of nurses and teachers each year.
Nanotechnology engineers at the University of Wales, Swansea, are teaming up with colleagues at the Clinical School
to examine new implant technology and drug delivery.
