A condition of the foot characterized by hyperextension at the metatarsophalangeal joint and flexion at the interphalangeal joints, as a fixed contracture.
A deformity caused by atrophic paralysis of intrinsic foot muscles, which allows the long toe extensors to dorsiflex the proximal phalanges, and the long flexors to shorten the foot, heighten the arch and flex the distal phalanges, pulling the foot into talipes equinus
Aetiology Chronic polyneuropathies; it is typical of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease
