Compatible (crossed) and incompatible mating isolates were decided by the presence and absence of clamp connections respectively (Fig.
IDC/Spring hybrid DIN rail terminal blocks from Wieland Electric provide for quick insulation displacement connection to unstripped wires on one side and a reliable, more flexible spring clamp connection on the opposite side.
The line includes screw clamp connection terminal blocks in feedthrough, ground, multi-conductor, multi-level, fuse holder, disconnect, and miniature feedthrough panel mount versions.
ERNI has announced cage clamp connection options for its Profibus and CanBus Series fieldbus connectors.
Further, vibration caused by cycling equipment, such as pumps, may loosen the clamp connection. When technicians retighten it, they may cause the gasket to extrude even further beyond the bore line.
The Minimate Series accommodates up to 16 AWG (1 [mm.sup.2]) wires and uses a tension clamp connection method for reduced wiring time.
Readily installed as a retrofit component, the units come standard in eleven sizes with a choice of clamp connection, butt-weld or sterile quick-connect electro-polished stainless steel heads.
Front-entry wiring makes the assembly easier, and the original Cage Clamp connection for conductors (AWG 12-28) guarantees a vibration-proof connection.
