Chronic nonspecific diarrhea A self-limited condition defined as the presence of persistently loose stools for ≥ 4 wks, without identifiable cause, and occurring in absence of systemic illness; the diarrhea is 2º in nature and does not respond to antibiotics, but resolves in several months.
