(krō'maf-in-ō'mă),
A neoplasm composed of chromaffin cells occurring in the medullae of adrenal glands, the organs of Zuckerkandl, or the paraganglia of the thoracolumbar sympathetic chain; may secrete catecholamines.

(1) Phaeochromocytoma; 
(2) A nonspecific term for a tumour with staining affinity for chromium and silver salts (which are now known as neuroendocrine tumours).

(krō-maf'in-ō'mă)
A neoplasm composed of chromaffin cells occurring in the medulla of the suprarenal gland, the organs of Zuckerkandl, or the paraganglia of the thoracolumbar sympathetic chain; some chromaffinomas secrete catecholamines.
