chorditis

inflammation of vocal or spermatic cords.
chorditis nodo´sa (chorditis tubero´sa) the formation of small white nodules on one or both vocal cords in persons who use their voices excessively; see also vocal cord nodules.

chorditis tuberosa

An obsolete term, the modern translation of which is uncertain; possibly, a variety of chronic laryngitis characterised by roughening of the vocal cord, which might correspond to chronic hyperplastic laryngitis.
