- a MONOMER that is joined to others in a POLYMER, for example an AMINO ACID in a POLYPEPTIDE CHAIN, a NUCLEOTIDE in a POLYNUCLEOTIDE CHAIN.
- the remainder, such as the substance left on the filter in the process of filtration; the amount of pesticide remaining on plant material or in soils at given times after application.
