CREB1(redirected from cAMP responsive element binding protein 1)
CREB1A gene on chromosome 2q34 that encodes a transcription factor of the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins, which binds as a homodimer to the cAMP-responsive element. CREB1 is phosphorylated by several protein kinases, and induces transcription of genes in response to hormonal stimulation of the cAMP pathway.
