MAPK10

A gene on chromosome 4q22.1 that encodes a member of the MAP kinase family, which integrate multiple biochemical signals and are involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, transcription, regulation and development. MAPK10 is a neuronal-specific form of c-Jun N-terminal kinase, which regulates signalling pathways during neuronal apoptosis.
