Bud Stage's 25th Anniversary
Around E12, epithelial thickening protrudes downwards into the underlying mesenchyme12 forming an initial bud and hence forms the initial
bud stage. Ectodysplasin (Eda) is expressed in mesenchyme and its receptor Ectodysplasin-A receptor (Edar) is expressed in the epithelium.
(1994) for floral opening stages, which characterizes each stage as: (1) closed bud, (2) petals closed and sepals open, (3) early opening of petals (traditional flower
bud stage), (4) several petals open, (5) fully open (6) end of vase life (wilting and/ or dimming of one petal) (Figure 1).
At the dental
bud stage (E 12-13), [beta]-catenin and Wnt present a similar location in oral epithelium, enamel epithelium and dental mesenchyme.
"They would come in toward first
bud stage, and when you cut, the larvae would form under the windrows and devastate the stubble," recalls Fernholz.
Pollen viability and stigma receptivity: In order to evaluate stigma receptivity and pollen viability, five plants were selected while their flowers were still in the
bud stage. One capitulum was cut from these plants every day, and two flowers on the cut capitula were evaluated for each one of the procedures described below.
During the
bud stage (E12.5-E13.5), in both incisor and molar, the thickened dental epithelium buds into the underlying mesenchyme, thus forming the epithelial tooth bud around the condensed mesenchymal cells.
The TDZ concentrations for each treatment were applied in split in two seasons: The first application was performed on pink
bud stage (E2) and the second application was in full bloom stage (F2).

Sixteen of the 58 glands were from the pseudoglandular stage but none of these expressed BPIFA1, 22 were at the canalicular stage, four (18%) of which expressed BPIFA1, and 20 were from the terminal
bud stage with 13 (65%) expressing BPIFA1.

The bud (OIFL1) and the blossom flower (flower stage 4, OIFL4) extracts revealed very strong antioxidant effects ([EC.sub.50] values of 48.14 and 26.04 [micro]g/mL, resp.) while the
bud stage 2 (OIFL2) and
bud stage 3 (OIFL3) demonstrated a lower activity ([EC.sub.50] values of 71.69 and 84.64 [micro]g/mL, resp.).
