brilliant green agar

A highly selective bacterial growth medium used to isolate Salmonella spp other than S typhi  and S paratyphi from infectious material—e.g., faecal specimens, dairy products and food. Brilliant Green with Novobiocin is recommended for testing in food for Salmonella.
