bottom shuffling

A type of early ambulation by infants which is more developmentally advanced than crawling and consists of shuffling around on their buttocks (bottom), using a hand behind and a foot in front to propel them. Bottom shuffling generally occurs between 6 and 10 months, and might be regarded as developmental red flag if it continues beyond 18 months of age.
