biastophilia A paraphilia (sexual deviancy) in which sexuoeroticism hinges on surprising and violently assaulting (and usually raping) a nonconsenting, terrified and struggling stranger. It is usually heterosexual and almost invariably a male attacking a female. It is regarded as a form of sexual sadism in that thearousal trigger for the paraphilic actor is the victim’s terrified response.
