beta actin

beta actin

A molecule, the mRNA of which is constitutively produced by all cells. It is an isoform of actin and one of two noncytoskeletal actins, which is involved in cell movement and structural integrity and interacts with SPTBN2, a protein that is defective in spinocerebellar ataxia type 5.
