back-ac·tion clasp

(bak-ak'shŭn klasp)
De-vice that is placed on one tooth surface and then passes over suprabulge area to another surface where it is supported by remainder of occlusal surface. It then continues to encircle tooth on a third surface; terminates in infrabulge area beyond angle of originating surface.
