In a study of 121 cases, Kaplanis et al, (12) reported that high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (HSIL) and invasive carcinoma showed significantly reduced E-cadherin membrane expression and increased cytoplasmic immunoreactivity compared to the low-grade SIL (LSIL), atypical squamous cell of undetermined significance, and normal groups.
