atypical cystic ducts (breast)A type of columnar cell lesion of the terminal duct lobular unit of the breast, which is characterised by mounds, tufts and short micropapillations of columnar cells greater than two cells in thickness. In absence of atypia, it is not associated with an increased risk of breast cancer.
