asbestos airways diseaseA lesion of the small airways seen in some patients exposed to asbestos, which consist of fibrosis and pigment deposition in the respiratory-alveolar duct unit walls. In most patients, asbestos bodies can be found.
This condition was billed as distinct when described in the 1980s, but may have since been subsumed under another entity.
