a rare ovarian tumor that secretes male hormones and causes virilization.

Sertoli-Leydig cell tumor

(sĕr-tō'lē lī'dig),
an ovarian tumor composed of Sertoli and Leydig cells; may secrete androgens.

arrhenoblastoma

An older term for a gonadal tumour, which includes:
(1) Sex cord tumour;
(2) Sertoli cell tumour;
(3) Sertoli-Leydig cell tumour.

arrhenoblastoma

A tumour of the ovary which secretes both male and female sex hormones and which may cause VIRILIZATION in women or children and may lead to precocious puberty. Also called an androblastoma.
