an antiantibody, the activity of which is directed specifically against the antigenic determinants (idiotope) of a particular immunoglobulin (antibody) molecule. In an idiotype-antiidiotype network, the antigen-combining region on one antibody molecule acts as the antigen for an antiidiotypic antibody.
