Diseases caused by abnormalities in an ANNEXIN. An abnormally high level of Annexin II, for instance, causes a bleeding disorder with excessive fibrinolysis. Annexin V deficiency causes accelerated blood coagulation in the antiphospholipid syndrome (HUGHES' SYNDROME).
