aneurysmal benign fibrous histiocytomaA distinct variant of benign fibrous histiocytoma (BFH) characterised by slow growing nodules with central cystic haemorrhage that imparts a blue-brown colour, which may result in clinical misdiagnosis as melanoma or a vascular lesion. Rapid growth and pain have been described in aneurysmal BFH.
