Vitamin B1, thiamin. This is plentiful in cereals and fresh vegetables, legumes, fruit, meat and milk, but there is very little in refined foods, fat, sugar or alcohol. Deficiency causes BERI-BERI in 1 2 months. Also known as thiamine.
