AMBN(redirected from ameloblastin, enamel matrix protein)
AMBNA gene on chromosome 4q21 that encodes ameloblastin, a nonamelogenin enamel matrix protein, which is involved in enamel matrix formation and mineralisation as AMBN is located in the calcium-binding phosphoprotein gene cluster on chromosome 4.
AMBN mutations are associated with autosomal dominant amylogenesis imperfecta and dentinogenesis imperfecta.
