AP1G1
(redirected from adaptor-related protein complex 1, gamma 1 subunit)AP1G1
A gene on chromosome 16q23 that encodes a large subunit of the heterotetrameric, trans-Golgi, clathrin-associated adaptor-related protein complex AP-1, which is located at the Golgi vesicle and links clathrin to receptors in coated vesicles. The vesicles are involved in endocytosis and Golgi processing; AP complexes recruit clathrin to membranes and recognise sorting signals within the cytosolic tails of transmembrane cargo molecules.Segen's Medical Dictionary. © 2012 Farlex, Inc.
