acne inversa type 3A chronic relapsing inflammatory disease of hair follicles (OMIM:613737) characterised by recurrent draining sinuses, painful skin abscesses and disfiguring scars, typically appearing after puberty.
Caused by defects in PSEN1, which encodes presenilin 1, a putative catalytic subunit of the gamma-secretase complex.
