A rare disorder of accommodation in which the time between the application of an accommodative stimulus and the response of the eye is delayed. The delay is typically more than 0.7 sec.

Difficulty in altering the accommodative response, such that the latency and completion time of the process are delayed. It may occur as a result of prolonged near vision tasks. Orthoptic exercises may help in this condition.
