Q. i want to run a 5k. how should i train?
|A||first of all- congratulations! way to go! pick a target and stick to it!|
now, it really depends on your abilities now. start running 1k. see how long it takes you. then try it again 3-4 times see that your time is getting better. then do a 1.5k, do that 3-4 times too. then 1.750 and from now on every 2-3 runs go up in 250 m. but you should run no more no less then 3 times a week. don't forget stretching after and warm up. good luck!!
Q. Is strength training safe for children?
Hi friends, this is my 4th question in this community. Here is my next one: I've always heard that resistance training will ''stunt a child's growth.'' Now, I hear it may be advisable for children to strength train. Is strength training safe for children?

|A2||Hello Tom Greg, Based on the available scientific information, strength training won't inhibit a child's growth under normal circumstances. Strength training can, however, cause injury when heavy weights are used or improper exercise technique is employed. When carefully supervised and correctly performed, strength can actually lower a child's risk of sustaining a sports-related injury, since higher levels of muscular fitness serve to protect the musculoskeletal system. Strength training can, and should, provide a safe and productive exercise for children who show an interest in the activity. Perhaps the two most critical factors that make strength training a safe, effective, and enjoyable activity for children are quality supervision and adherence to the concept of minimum effective dosage (i.e., the training program should be designed using only the minimum level of resistance needed to produce a training effect).|
Q. Does anyone have any ideas on how to potty train autistic boys?
My son will be 5 in august and only goes #1 in the toilet, we've tried bribary, sitting on the toilet for at least an hour and no luck, hoping someone has some helpful information.

Q. how does physical training, as lifting weight effects your body?
|A||It increases the mass of the trained muscles, so you may gain weight, but the percentage of fat decreases. It also makes the body spend more calories after the exercise and during rest (although this effect m may be more subtle than once was thought to be).|
Weight lifting may also improve your ability to control your muscles, standing and gait.
You should know that there's a fundamental difference between aerobic exercise (e.g. running, swimming) and anaerobic exercise (e.g. weight lifting). While the first improves mainly the heart, the latter affects mainly the exercised muscles

Q. Can somebody post a training plan?
This is Moses, 22 yrs old male. I can run 1 to 3 km but my goal is to reach 15 km. I like to improve my fitness. How frequent do I need to practice to improve my fitness? Can somebody post a training plan?
|A||Hi Moses, now I can run 12 km and I achieved this target by doing daily practice. So I suggest you to practice daily if you want to improve your fitness and to reach your goal. Slowly and slowly you will reach your target. You cannot reach the target in just one attempt. Please ensure that you practice daily and follow a proper schedule. In addition to that you need to have strict diet control and also have more water. I hope you would be able to reach you goal fast. Good Luck!!!|
Q. Why is enough rest important after fitness training and does it have any other benefits?
|A1||your body needs to recuperate, so do your muscles. if you do not rest enough you may suffer overtraining and be sidelined from injury.|
|A2||When you exercise, you lead to muscle atrophy and when you’re at rest your muscle starts forming. Its rest which makes your muscle, exercise makes the space for this. Many other benefits are there as it recovers the torn out muscles and as well reduces the body heat and also gives you enough power to increase on your next set of training.|
Q. Are there any goals set for fitness training depending on the person’s health and age?
I am a guy who satisfies others’ needs without any selfish motive. But I worry whether I am able to satisfy my girlfriend’s wish. She wants me to develop my body by going to a gym. Spurred on by my romantic frame of mind, I joined a gym last month and soon I was admitted in hospital. Doctors said that I didn’t follow the right procedure or could have not taken right guidance from a fitness trainer. I doubt my fitness trainer or the procedure that he used to guide me was right or wrong. Now please let me know that before you enroll in a gym what are the things that the fitness trainer will suggest and are the exercises tailor-made for each person? Are there any goals set for fitness training depending on the person’s health and age? Can I satisfy my girl-friend’s wish finally?
|A||I too think so... It depends on the club and how competent/capable the trainer is. Most of the trainers will execute an initial testing to determine body fat, flexibility, blood pressure, etc. You will be asked your goals – the greater the strength, the more endurance, etc. Some will recommend specific exercise if you request them. Most of the trainers at gyms will suggest exercises after you join, so you need to ask questions before you join to determine what will and can be done. Other members can also be asked how they have been guided. Stop by at the gym several times before you join to see how crowded they are, if the equipment would be made available to you when you need it and if it is kept clean and hygienic. There are no set standards, so the person involved should be aware and informed. Do not strain yourself too much. All the best in your life! |
