Q. Is there any clinical evidence to support to my question?

Can acupuncture help reduce the pain in fibromyalgia? Is there any clinical evidence to support to my question?
AYes, acupuncture therapy can reduce the fatigue, widespread pain and sleep problems associated with fibromyalgia. If acupuncture can be used in place of pain reliever then its good as the side effect associated with pain relievers are reduced.

Q. how should i support my wife during this tough period?

Afirst of all don't call it a tough period. a happy period might work better. although the wife can get annoyed by it. but she'll get annoyed from anything... just try to make her comfortable. foot massage , bubble baths, movies and popcorn.
it really depends on what kind of person is she and what she likes or not.

Q. How can I go about finding a free depression support group where I live?

would like to find a depression support group in my area. How do I go about finding one? Google searches are turning up nothing.
A1Call the help desk or receptionist of your local or nearest hospital or medical clinic.

You could go to an AA meeting in your local community. A lot of people there are depressed. That's what those meetings do for people, they are a support group.

You could also start one and put a community notice in your local paper.

Get together with others you trust and talk.

Call home and talk.

Find a friend and talk.

I pray. God listens.
A2I too need to find a free support group for depression in NJ of monmouth county I can not find one either
A3Have you tried ? I use it to find groups of people that want to play sports on the weekend.

Q. Hello to all, I think I'm gonna need your support...

My husband has OCD. it's really hard with him but it's a long story. he also has depression and now I'm developing it too. I feel so down- like there is no way up anymore. Any advice?
A1thank you cbellh47, I appreciate it a lot.
A2For you, if you have not seen your doctor, it might be a good time to do so and tell them all this stuff. For support, I offer mine as best as I can in prayer and in my thoughts for you and your family. You are not alone. Just a few minutes ago, on another forum, someone reminded me about "acceptance" of things we cannot change. So I pray you have the strength for that and also for the wisdom to recognize those things.

Q. where would i find support groups for Ex alcoholic people?

A1web site for alcoholic anonymous/narcotics anonymouse/--in the a group.
A2i agree with mrfoot56 but would like to add that a group therapy can really help. and most community clinics has information about local support groups. so it might be a good idea to check it out.

A3a hate to tell you this;but there are no ex alcoholics--ther are no ex cocaine/herion addicks. what you are talking about is relapse;in simple terms it is when someone start(or feels like starting),to use drugs after a long time not using--sometimes somesting has or is changing in there life/people in there life that is causing stress/the people that they hang out with---remember to stay away from people/places/things that remind you of using----get a sponsor, this is someone that willhelp you in the AA program.mrfoot56---find a meeting an go-------good luck

Q. I am looking for information on nutritional support for fibromyalgia.Any help would be appreciated.

I am looking for information on nutritional support for fibromyalgia. The Feingold Diet sounds like the sort of thing I need, but I need to know more. Also, do you know what foods contain salycilates? I've been told that they can exacerbate fibromyalgia. Any help would be appreciated.
AHi, Sorry this has taken so long to reply to you. I'm not sure about the Feingold Diet. I haven't read much about it. As far as salycilates, they are used to flavor foods such as cake mixes, puddings, ice cream, chewing gum and soft drinks. They occur naturally in some foods, especially in berries and dried fruits. Raisins and prunes have the highest. Also in candies made of licorice and peppermint. Moderate levels are found in nuts and seeds. You should stay away from curry powder, paprika, thyme, dill, oregano, and turmeric. Some important things for fibromyalgia are Coenzyme Q10, acidophilus and a good full spectrum supplement. This way your body has what it needs to heal itself.

Q. should a child with ADHD needs to have a different supportive environment and different care surrounding?

Ai'm not sure about your Q. - and ADHD needs a different way of education and attention them most children. but if you're thinking of "special education", then no. they are usually very bright children, they can manage regular school but need to be treated and extra care and patience...
