A2Are you experiencing muscle pain in your back and shoulders? If so I would recommend a combination of therapeutic massage and a regular yoga practice. Both of these will help you relieve the pain you are experiencing; plus they will both help you feel better mentally as well.

Q. shoulder and neck strain and pain

I have a terrible shoulder and neck pain and i keep cracking my neck muscles to release pressure. I get temporary relief with tylenol but after few hrs the pain and strain starts again.Any ideas?
AA mellow exercise and streching on a regular basis is the best way to release a sore back and muscles in general, including your neck. You should try that plus applying local warm temperature (for example a warm pillow)around your neck. If that doesn't work then other anti-inflammatory drugs that you either apply as a cream or take as a pill can help you.

Q. How do I gain range of motion after shoulder surgery

I'm 31 years old and had a shoulder replacment last year. I still don't know why my joint gave out and 4 Orthopedic Surgeons couldn't tell me either. I have limited Range of Motion and the Dr. seems to think that because of my "age" I was less likley to get full range back. I refuse to believe that, does anyone have any suggestions on how to gain ROM back?
Ai guess you go to physiotherapy no?
that is their job. to give you range of motion after injuries, surgeries ect. they'll give you exercises specially for your condition. when i had an accident i broke my leg hip and i needed 2 months of physiotherapy that helped very much.

Q. I have dislocated my shoulder for the 3rd time, what I can do in order to avoid surgery?

This is an old injury that keeps coming back. I have been dealing with this unstable shoulder for more than 5 years now. In the past few weeks I've visited 3 different doctors, all said that I can't avoid surgery this time or it with keep on dislocating spontaneously. Even though the docs are thinking that it's a lost cause,I got a really good feeling that I will manage to fix my shoulder 100% with no surgery involved. Is there any known therapy I should try before admitting to my surgery?

A2After the pain and swelling go down, your doctor may prescribe physical therapy. This helps restore your shoulder's range of motion and strengthens your muscles. In addition, physical therapy may also help prevent future dislocations.
If your shoulder dislocation recurs often, a brace can sometimes help. However, if physical therapy and a brace do not work, then you may need surgery to repair or tighten torn or stretched ligaments. This will help keep the joints in place.

AHello Daron, Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate your body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals. Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day. U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry. Have him see a doctor, first, and then someone doing psy rehab. I can think of lots of good exercises for healthy people, but it seems like your uncle needs medical attention.

Q. I have hurt my cervical spine and shoulder in a rear end car crash in July. Why does it still hurt?

ASpine and back injuries are known to to be causing a lot of pain and discomfort and for a long period of time. You should try and do some mellow exercise and physiotherapy that might help you a lot. If the pain is unbarable, you should consult your doctor about using pain medications.
