Q. is it ok to use drugs for medical reasons? and who is to decide when is necessary to use drugs when needed?
|A||Today the most used "medical" drugs are narcotics- for pain relief, for patients who suffer extreme pain. All sorts of Codaine and Morphine types are used and on a very wide basis, and they are specially perscribed for ones who need them.|
Q. How about Psychiatric Drugs for bipolar?
One of my friend is suffering from bipolar. Will Psychiatric medications help him to come out of this affect?
|A1||from what i read- there are certain medication that can help. if the first one doesn't - there is a second and third line of medication. from a personal experience (not mine, a friend of the family) it can even save your friend's life..|
|A2||Psychiatric medications are considered to be psychoactive because they work on the central nervous system and affect the way the brain functions. They are used to treat mental disorders and almost all have synthetic chemical make-up. To get one of these drugs, a prescription is needed from a doctor. Each year pharmaceutical companies spend billions on developing new psychiatric drugs. It shows the strength of its usage. There are six kinds available in the market.|
Q. What medications are forbidden to take with alcohol?
And why is that?
|A1||I think this web page will give you something to think about:|
apparently there are more drugs you shouldn’t mix with alcohol then I could think of…
|A2||If you ask me- don’t mix any medication with alcohol. Did you know that some medications can not be consumed with grapefruit? The problems with mixing drugs are because the same enzymes in the liver are taking care of them. Your liver tries to get rid of foreign materials in the body. If you take paracetamol with alcohol- the alcohol will use those enzymes first and a different enzyme will need to take care of that paracetamol. This will cause a different procedure that will produce a material that will destroy your liver. That brings us back to the grapefruit- very unexpected- so it is wise to avoid any medication, because they don’t know yet all there is to know about drugs mixing.|

|A||Yes. Levels of over 400 mg/dL may cause coma, although the precise level depends on many factors such as weight, gender, past drinking habits etc. Eventually, if you'll drink enough, you'll end up in a coma.|

Q. Over-medication” for bipolar patients.
Does anyone have any information on “over-medication” for bipolar patients? About any societies that is overdependence on drugs or medicines to treat bipolar disorder?
|A1||pharmaceutical drugs can be of great help when the disease breaks out. but in the moment that the person is again under control, you should find out the causes and cure them one after another. psychosis, schizophrenia, paranoia break out, because your emotional body can't keep all traumata anymore under control. the last body - the physical body will react out of control because too many emotions have not been assimilated in time. kineology is here of great help to analyse and eliminate one cause after another. detoxication is another thing which must be considered. healthy food - biological food, source water (still water) - each case needs individual help.|
|A2||The most psyche meds are trash. Don’t buy this crap about brain chemicals. That’s nothing more than societies excuse to not caring for the mentally ill. Most mental illness is caused by an abusive childhood just taking a pill pardons the abusers.|
Q. Can ADHD and ADD medication harm you?
My son is diagnosed as an ADHD and the Dr. recommended taking Ritalin
|A1||My grandson, was just prescribe |
"Stratera", and I'm a little afraid to give it to him. Has anyone know where I can find out who child has taken this medication? and If it help his or her child?
|A2||McBride, Perhaps I missed it. Did the dr recommend that you should take the ritalin, or that he, the dr should take the ritalin or that your son should take the ritalin?|
|A3||McBride, There is no test for add or adhd. The evaluation is subjective. One doctor may say he is and another may say he is not. Read about the medication. For the love of humanity you have the www at your fingertips. The concept behind the use of these drugs, and ritalin is one of the oldest in the family,( developed by the Germans during the war, if I remember correctly), is to have the child "stay on task". The meds are essentially "Speed". Try some and see how you feel. But, just because the doctor said does not make it so. This is your son, you love him, you want him to be happy and grow up to be a better man than you are. Be careful what he injests. Diet is very important. They keep doing the same studies over and over. Thirty years back they were sure that food coloring played a significant role in ADHD. A recent study says that food coloring plays a significant role in ADHD. Read what www.focusas.com has to say about it. That might be a good starting point f|
