Q. I have lupus and diabetes. Can I get some tips for weight maintenance?
Is it true that foods now these days have hormones and other preservatives in it that can make you fatter? Will eating organic food prevent weight gain (as long as you eat right and in decent portions). Has anyone lost weight faster while eating organic food..
|A1||Organic does mean that hormones and chemicals were not used but it may not guarantee you will loose weight. The number of calories and the types of foods you eat still affect weight loss and gain. The reason it may take a long time to loose that weight is that science is proving now that toxins from air, water and food become trapped inside of your fat cells, as a natural protection your body provides from them. Until you rid your body of the toxins you have stored up, your body will stubbornly hold onto the fat.|
|A2||I don't think that eating organic foods is necessarily going to really help you lose weight. The types of foods that are organic (dairy, chicken, turkey, fruits and veggies) will help facilitate the process tho.|
Q. Has anyone had any positive weight loss or maintenance from drinking milk?
|A1||Any "diet" which includes just 1 food is not healthy. Milk is great as part of a balanced diet, but not a diet fit for adults on its own. There can only be disadvantages in the long run of doing this.|
|A2||i fail to see a positive connection between the two. i think that the only people that can loose weight from drinking milk are people who are lactose intolerants. they have diarrhea from drinking milk and they'll lose weight, but in a bad way that will inflict damage.|
